01Literal Translation (ZH)
礼敬佛陀十大弟子中论议第一(善于分别广说略义)的摩诃迦旃延尊者(泰称善加财佛,亦为必打佛之同源法相)。
02Deeper Doctrinal, Philosophical & Meditative Exegesis (ZH)
According to the Dhammapada Commentary (Soreyya Vatthu), Elder Kaccayana possessed golden-complexioned radiance like the Buddha; out of humility so laypeople would not confuse him with the Teacher, he manifested a rotund form — which evolved into two linked Siamese iconographies: open-eyed Phra Sangkachai (doctrinal teaching) and closed-eyed Phra Pidta (Nirodha-samapatti absorption).
