此巴利偈阐明了泰国四面神（Phra Phrom）在南传佛教中的正统定位：礼赞《相应部·梵天请法经》（Ayacana Sutta）中的娑婆世界主大梵天王萨诃波帝（Brahmā Sahampati），于贤劫之初（Ādikappe）见五朵金莲盛开（Pañcapadumaṃ），预知此劫将有五尊佛陀出世，遂以Namo Buddhāya顶礼五佛。四面分别象征慈、悲、喜、舍四梵住（四无量心）。
