Yant Phra Phrom Chaturamukha (Four-Faced Brahma & Four Brahmavihara Matrix)
A four-gated square and diamond mandala representing the four faces of Maha Brahma Sahampati and the Four Sublime States of Mind (Brahmavihara 4), perfected by Ajarn Heng Phraiwan and Luang Pu Doo of Wat Sakae.
Designed as a square inner sanctuary with four projecting cardinal gates (representing the four faces of Brahma facing North, South, East, and West), inscribed with the syllables of Metta, Karuna, Mudita, and Upekkha and crowned by four Unalome spires.
Standardized in the Ayutthaya Phra Phrom amulet lineage of Ajarn Heng Phraiwan (lay master), Luang Phor See, and Luang Pu Doo Prompanyo of Wat Sakae. In Theravada ethics, the four faces of Brahma are interpreted as the four Brahmavihara meditations: Loving-Kindness, Compassion, Empathetic Joy, and Equanimity.
