The 4-syllable Heart of the Abhidhamma (Hua Jai Phra Abhidhamma): Citta (Consciousness), Cetasika (Mental Factors), Rupa (Form), and Nibbana/Nimitta
Iti Sugato Arahang Puttho Namo Putthaya
Canonical Buddha-recollection stanza recited at Wat Chedi (Sichon, Nakhon Si Thammarat)
01Literal Translation (EN)
Centers on the famous four-syllable Abhidhamma heart formula Ci-Ce-Ru-Ni(จิ เจ รุ นิ — Citta, Cetasika, Rupa, Nibbana/Nimitta) used by Luang Phor Tae Kong Thong (BE 2434–2524) and Luang Phor Yam at Wat Sam Ngam (Nakhon Pathom), followed by the canonical Wat Chedi stanza ('Iti Sugato Arahang Puttho Namo Putthaya') for Ai Khai.
From a doctrinal standpoint, traditional monastic consecration of Kuman Thong at Wat Sam Ngam is grounded in the Abhidhammattha-sangaha: the master inscribes the 4 ultimate realities (Citta, Cetasika, Rupa, Nibbana — abbreviated as Ci-Ce-Ru-Ni) and the 32 parts of the body (Akarn 32) to establish a mindful dharma attendant under the precept of the Triple Gem.
At Wat Chedi in Sichon(Nakhon Si Thammarat), local Southern tradition links Ai Khai to the young monastic attendant said to have accompanied Luang Pu Thuad during his pilgrimage.
