The 4-syllable Heart Mantra of Hanuman (Hua Jai Hanuman)
Na-Ma-Pa-Tha · Ja-Pha-Ka-Sa
Invocation of the Four Elements (especially Wind/Vayo) and Four Elemental Supports to animate the carved form (Akarn 32)
01Literal Translation (EN)
Built upon the four-syllable seed mantra Ha-Nu-Ma-Na(Hua Jai Hanuman) paired with the Four Elements ('Na-Ma-Pa-Tha' — emphasizing the Wind/Vayo element, as Hanuman is the son of Phra Phai, the Wind Deity) and the Four Kasina Supports ('Ja-Pha-Ka-Sa').
In the canonical Benjapakee of Thai carved talismanic sculptures (Kreung Rang), Luang Phor Sun of Wat Salakun (Nonthaburi) carved miniature Hanuman figures from sacred Phutson and Rak Sorn roots, while Luang Phor Tim of Wat Lahan Rai (Rayong, BE 2518) cast the iconic Hanuman Chanauk Yaow in Nawa Loha filled with Pong Prai Kuman, inscribing these exact four syllables (หะ นุ มา นะ) around the base.
